  • This could involve problems with a landlord or the neighbours, separating from a partner, or questions regarding liability. In disputes, it is often unclear what rights the various parties have and which possibilities are open for the way ahead. Such issues may also cause a degree of mental stress that should not be underestimated. Our legal counselling offers some initial orientation on whether it is worthwhile to start legal proceedings and what other courses of action may be pursued. Clients feel relieved by the clarity they receive from the initial assessment of their legal problem and are also shown some concrete options for action. We offer counselling for all legal matters except employment law. 

  • Concerns about unexplained physical symptoms and health problems can be stressful, even if people are still able to work. The Fürstenberg Institut’s medical counsellors take the time to assess individual complaints, inform clients about physical impairments like migraines/headaches, backache, cardiovascular diseases, excess weight and chronic illnesses, and discuss treatment possibilities and prevention measures.

    Our counsellors are also quickly available to discuss questions on medicines, the immune system and seasonal concerns like the flu and vaccinations. Naturally, we guarantee medical confidentiality, anonymity and the client’s right to volunteer for this service. 

  • Financial problems and spiralling debts are two of the main causes of mental stress. The Fürstenberg Institut is the only EAP provider in Germany to be officially recognised as a debt and insolvency counselling centre as per §305 of the German Insolvency Statute (InsO). The experts in our debt and insolvency counselling team work with clients to develop a detailed budget plan to help them achieve measurable success as quickly as possible. 

  • Topic-related individual coaching sessions as part of employee development measures, such as improving people’s ability to change, supporting individual target attainment, communication, time- and self-management, individual health management and resilience.

  • Immediate follow-up support after stressful events (e.g. accidents, attacks, a sudden death). Emergencies or crisis situations caused by severe accidents, major damage or other stressful events often have serious and long-lasting consequences on work. We help your employees and managers during and after an emergency situation by providing qualified follow-up support. In addition, we help you to set up an emergency organisation in the company, train all concerned on how to behave during difficult situations and coach the leading decision-makers.
