Questions and answers

  • The Employee Assistance Program is a counselling service for all employees financed by your company. The main focus of this program is on individual counselling sessions with qualified counsellors who help to find solutions to work-related, health-related or personal questions – confidentially and anonymously, of course!
    Specially trained management counsellors are also available for leadership topics.

  • Our counselling is oriented towards solutions. This means that we consider you and your situation in the context of your relevant relationships – work, family members, circle of friends, hobbies, etc. – with all the connections and interactions. We offer impulses, strengthen people with our implementation expertise and find solutions together. In doing so, we always work towards practical solutions that can be implemented on a daily basis.

  • There is no limit to the number of counselling sessions. Our counsellors will assist you until you find a solution to your question together.

  • Direct family members living in the same household as you, such as your children or partner, can also receive counselling from the Fürstenberg Institut.

  • As a rule, you will be assigned to one counsellor for your question. If your counsellor is not available one day, you may also make an appointment with another counsellor. This also applies if you wish to change the counsellor for your own reasons.

  • Our counsellors are a permanent, interdisciplinary team from the fields of psychology, pedagogy, medicine, health and educational sciences, nursing, theology, couple, family and conflict counselling, etc.

    ll counsellors have additional systemic training, i.e. they work with a systemic solution-oriented approach to counselling.

  • You will normally receive an appointment for counselling with a qualified counsellor specialising in your subject matter within a maximum of five working days. If necessary and in crisis situations, we can also offer you immediate counselling.

  • We offer counselling services in German, English, Turkish and Spanish.

  • You can use our counselling services on the telephone or face-to-face at one of our nine institutes or with our regionally based Fürstenberg counsellors. In addition, you can make use of our online counselling service. The use of online counselling includes video chat counselling, text chat and a massaging system. Counselling by e-mail is also possible.

  • The counselling sessions are usually held from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and are arranged by the Institute’s Customer Service team. For emergencies and crises, the Institute provides a qualified, telephone-based emergency counselling service from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., at weekends and on public holidays.   • Data protection and the duty of confidentiality are treated with the utmost priority by all involved in the Fürstenberg Institut’s Employee Assistance Program and they are observed with the necessary care. We are regularly audited in accordance with the strict regulations stipulated in the German Data Protection Act (BDSG). All our counselling services are discreet, strictly confidential and anonymous with regard to the company. This continues to apply even after the end of the contract with the customer.

    You can access our website without leaving behind any personal data. When you visit our website, we only receive anonymous usage data (i.e. without personal references) that we use exclusively for statistical purposes.

    Providing personal data is your own free decision. For example, if you give us your name, address or any other personal details as part of an enquiry or correspondence, we will treat this data with great care in accordance with the stipulations in the German Data Protection Act. We guarantee you that we shall not forward your data to anyone. If you should ask us not to use this data for further contact and/or to delete it, we shall do so accordingly.

    Under conditions of guaranteed confidentiality, the company receives regular, anonymised evaluations based on the general counselling topics in order to use the findings to optimise our organisation and personnel development.

  • We are available for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The counselling sessions are usually held from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. For urgent counselling needs and emergencies, we are also available during the night and at weekends.

  • The Fürstenberg Institut has offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt am Main, Hanover, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Ditzingen (near Stuttgart) and Münster. In addition, we work together with regional counsellors. You can find an overview of the locations here
